1) The ESSENTIAL PLUGIN PACK is just freshly released;

This is a fundamental resource if you have a 64 bit computer (and you should really have ;) ) because it contains the most important ones you need for render into your Apo x64.

(I also recently released an additional pack and also more x64 plugins are in my gallery.) sry for the promotion tho ...

2) IFStile has been recently updated!

This program contains a huge load of very, VERY beautiful tilings (examples folder) that you can use in your Apo works (possibly crediting the program, since he gave them away for 0 money...).
It has the DIRECT .flame save format available; you just save and open it into Apo7x, at 1:1 quality. Works for all 2D tilings as of now.
Just change the gradient/colors ;) or if you are more expert, try more things. (like using parts of the tilings in a xaos fractal, since they are an awesome "texture").

Have a great time playing with fractals... Luca

It's located in the same directory as the executable.  Thanks for responding.  I actually found-out that I had too many plugins in the "plugins" folder.  After I took them all out and then put in a small number of them, they showed-up.

Yeah, you can only put in about 45-50 plugins, anymore and it gets funny. I kind of forgot about that until you mentioned it.

I am curious what is the appropriate settings to get a crystal clear, crisp image?
Does Xaos have anything to do with the level of crispness in the image? If so what is the best amount to get that crisp image. If not then what determines how sharp the image is.

From the knowledgeable people at the fractal chats on slack:
"Density as high as it can go, I feel. Printworthy renders for me start at density 10k and go to 40k. But yes it's much more efficient in Chaotica, where Antialiasing (AA) can determine sharpness. If you want a nice sharp image, go Mitchell Netravali with Ring at 1 and Width at 4.2. You cam bump up the Ring (sharpness) anywhere up to 1.25 as well so long as you follow it with Width going up as well, up to 4.8."

"i think on Apophysis you should just put Oversample as high as possible, density on 4000 or so, that's what i always did when i rendered stuff in apophysis, but for rendering really crisp images you just need Chaotica."

The first portion of that didn't make a lick of sense. The second half of that it makes more sense. is Chaotica, is that a plug-in for Apophysis, or is that a separate fractal program? Is it free? If so where can I download Chaotica for Mac?
rubydeva Featured By Owner Feb 13, 2017
Chaotica is a separate program. There is a free version.
Have you downloaded any of the tutorials on how to use Apophysis yet?
